Mike Owens

Michael is a lifelong North Carolina native. He attended Forsyth Technical Community College, in Winston-Salem. There he studied early childhood education and nanotechnology. Following several years working in higher education, he turned his sights to grassroots political organizing. In 2012, he created the short-lived podcast, "Five Minutes with Mike", which focused on state and national politics. After several years, that podcast was relaunched in late 2023. Michael is also the latest in a line of hosts of The Conservative Lunch, a decades old weekly gathering of conservatives discussing current events and how conservatives can make a difference in their communities and around the country.

Michael lives in Winston-Salem with his wife Renee.
